Festa Major de Gracia 2014

Today was the last day of the Festa Major de Gracia and I told you that I will go and check out was is going on there. Well I was and I think that this festival is just amazing. The Gracia district turns into a beautifully decorated neighborhood. The streets are full of people drinking, talking and there is music all over. Let me show you some pictures:

Last week I already informed you about the Festa Major de Gracia and it was all about the people getting ready for it. This time I will show you some pictures during the actual celebration. Let me start like that: It was amazing. If you go there during the day you will catch up some entertaining shows, (drawing) contests (for kids) and there is still a lot of yummy crepes or beer. If you visit Gracia by night, the magic begins. The district turns into a party town, full of people drinking, talking, having fun and getting to know each other. It‘s all about being open minded and in good mood. It is the perfect place to party at when you are in Barcelona 15.-21 of August! Although the Gracia district isn‘t that big, you can get lost in these tiny, little streets. Every street looks the same but it is always different. (I will also post about the Gracia district and show you all the secret corners there. I discovered a very charming bookstore, which I will introduce to you very soon) But lets go back to the festival! If you go there, buy a beer, lemonade or a crepe, sit down and just enjoy the spanish feeling. This is Spain. This is real. Here you can read more about the Festa Major the Gracia. Every street has been decorated for its own theme and what comes out of it is really amazing! Remember this is all about a competition, do you? If you scroll till the end of the article, you will see which street actually won the contest this year!

Unfortunately I didn‘t see that street (you really can get lost in Gracia :D) but this is the winner of 2014!
